Help Merri-bek transition to efficient and 100% renewable power
Our community goals for 2025 are:
1. Double the amount of solar photovoltaic capacity across Merri-bek from 22MW to 44MW.
2.Reduce the daily average residential electricity usage in Merri-bek from 4.8kWh per person to 4kWh.
WHAT CAN I DO?
The great news is that putting solar on your home, business or school has never been more affordable. Draught-proofing your home and upgrading to energy-efficient appliances can reduce your emissions and energy bills and keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter. Choosing new appliances, such as induction cooktops and heat pumps for hot water, means you can make the switch to going off gas. Every little action taken by our community helps reduce our overall emissions.
