Are you between 18-29 years old and concerned about the climate crisis?
Banksia Gardens are looking for a dynamic group of young people from all backgrounds who want to work together to take action for our climate and our future.
The recent IPCC report has been called a ‘Code Red for Humanity’. With little time to act to reverse climate damage and governments lagging on policy and action, communities are banding together to do more at a local level.
What is it?
Climate Adaptation Requires Youth Action (CARYA) is a Banksia Gardens Community Services program running for its second year, giving young people an opportunity to learn more about the social and environmental issues impacting (and being impacted by) climate damage. It is also an opportunity to explore ways to act and adapt to climate change.
It is a FREE 10-week training program including weekly workshops and fun excursions (covid willing!), and is followed by the group implementing a community climate adaptation initiative, supported by the staff at BGCS.
