In 2021 the Community Skills for Climate Action program brought together 75 people from across Merri-bek, Darebin and Yarra. Over 10 sessions, people learnt new skills, knowledge and the opportunity to work together on climate action projects.

We would like to host several get-togethers through the year which will provide an opportunity to be together, hear more about the climate action projects happening across the three municipalities, share information and hear from guest speakers.

And because we are keen to grow our network of people taking climate action across Yarra, Merri-bek and Darebin, please come along to join a great group of people.

First Get Together – Tuesday 5th April

The get-together will include Caitlin Dear leading us in Tree Time – a participatory work which invites us to be in the company of a tree, and explore connections with nature. It requires us to think beyond our human perspective and consider our part of a wider web of being.

We’ll then move over to North Fitzroy Library to catch up on local climate projects including The Green Bee which is being led by Caitlin and Bec Jensen, and is all about bringing together local artists, activists, scientists and community groups to build meaningful connections and friendships, and future climate action collaborations.

We’ll have time to hear about other projects too, and plenty of time to network and eat together.

Catering provided.
