Merri-bek My Smart Garden program in partnership with Yarra and Darebin Councils is proud to bring you the CERES 3000 acres Olives to Oil Festival. This annual event brings people together from across Melbourne to harvest olives and have them pressed communally into delicious, local olive oil.
Register for a delivery time, then harvest and bring your olives to CERES on 29 May to be pressed into delicious oil. Join in the festivities including olive pruning workshops, face-painting, olive identification and more.
The oil is pressed communally by Barfold Olives and the proportion equivalent to the olives you collected will be available for collection in June.
Registration is free for olive deliveries of up to 50kg for residents of Merri-bek, Yarra and Darebin, and $10 per booked delivery of olives for residents of other areas.

Pick your olives no earlier than Friday 27th May or the oil may be spoiled.
