Do you have an idea on how to reduce waste in our community?
Then apply for a grant from the Recycling Victoria Communities Fund.
About Recycling Victoria Communities Fund
Sustainability Victoria has opened up applications for the Recycling Victoria Communities Fund to community groups, not-for-profit organisations, charities or social enterprises in their efforts to reduce waste.
By 2046, Victoria is expected to produce 40% more waste than it did in 2017–18. Without changing our behaviour and action, this means more pressure on our waste and recycling systems, increased landfill costs, and more greenhouse gas emissions.
Over the next four years the Communities Fund will support community-based projects that are helping boost Victoria’s economy through circular economy initiatives that reduce
- waste generation
- non-organic and organic material going to landfill
- the sources of plastic pollution, litter and illegal dumping
Successful applicants can receive between $25,000–$250,000.
Grant eligibility and applications due date
Groups must have been operating for a minimum of two years and take place in and service Victoria.
Applications are due on the 19th of March 2021
