The annual Olives to Oil Festival at CERES is on again.
The festival brings people together from across Melbourne to harvest olives and have them pressed communally into delicious, local olive oil.
Merri-bek Council is supporting the festival to help us make use of this precious urban food resource which is often otherwise wasted!
To manage demand, you must book a ticket to participate.
There are free tickets for Merri-bek residents for small quantities (under 20kg) but get in quick before it sells out!
Harvest your olives within 2 days and drop off at:
- Sunday 3rd May, CERES Brunswick East – Lee Street Entrance
- Saturday 9th May, Whittlesea Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Blvd, South Morang
Pick up your olive oil on Sunday 12th July, CERES Fair Food Warehouse, Preston.
