Community Grants Program

Are you a community group or an individual wanting to undertake a community project? You may be eligible for funding through the Merri-bek Community Grants Program

What is the Community Grants Program?

The Merri-bek Community Grants Program gives financial support to community led initiatives and collaborative projects that demonstrate multiple benefits and focuses directly on the Merri-bek community.

Grants are targeted at not-for-profit incorporated community groups or groups auspiced by another incorporated organisation.

What types of grants are available?

There are a range of grants available. These include major grants ($5000 or more per year) to support day to day operations of community groups, funding for capital works improvements and builds, and individual project grants. Smaller grants (up to $3000) are available for individuals to undertake development opportunities and minor projects.

In 2021 we will be looking to increase the number of community grants that focus on climate change and align with achieving a Zero Carbon Moreland.
