Want to learn how to reduce food waste at home but don’t know where to start?
With a little planning and creativity, there are simple ways you can make the most of your leftovers and food scraps by turning them into meals or more.
In this FREE 1 hour online workshop, you will learn:
- Ways to reduce your food waste at home, such as menu planning, food storage and best before dates
- Ways to use produce that isn’t ‘quite right’ and commonly leftover food ingredients.
- Home composting options.
- Community composting hubs in Merri-bek
- What can and can’t go in your Merri-bek City Council’s green-lidded Food and Garden Organics Bin.
This workshop is designed for residents of the Merri-bek City Council municipality, therefore, some of the content may not apply to those outside of this area.
This session is hosted by Kirsty Bishop-Fox, an environmental educator, who is a sustainability and waste specialist. Her interactive presentations are engaging and provide practical content to help transform the approach to waste, recycling and sustainable living.
